Unit 8 Happy New Year!(Period 2)

教学内容:三年级上册  Unit 8 Happy New Year! (Fun time and Cartoon time)

教学目标:

1.知识技能目标:通过学习,让学生能更熟练的运用What’s this/that? It’s a… It’s/This is for you. Thank you. 学会生日祝福:Happy birthday!学会新词:toy。

2.语用功能目标:学生能再本节课后,知道如何表达节日问候、生日问候,收到礼物后表达感谢。能就物体进行询问与回答。

3.情感目标:通过用英语送祝福,让学生感受到学习英语的乐趣和成就。初步渗透有关祝福的西方文化意识。培养学生逻辑思维能力,激发合作学习的意愿。

教学难重点:发挥节日问候、生日问候语的语言功能。能在一定的情境中正确表达。

教学过程:

Step 1.  Lead in

1. Sing a song.

T: Are you ready for our English lesson? Let’s begin.

Listen and sing the song: Happy New Year!

2. Game

T: Do you like games? Let’s play a game. Look and say the words quickly.

[A: father, mother, brother, sister, love,------family

B: cake, ice cream….----- eat, drink, food, hungry, thirsty.

C: balloons, ball, doll, a box with doll, a box with robot----- New Year]

T: More word? Think about it.

S:…

C: This is a new ball, a new doll, a new… They’re the presents on New Year’s Day.

Step 2  Review

3. T: It’s New Year’s Day. Happy New Year, class!

S: Happy New Year, Miss Zhang!

T: Say to your friend!

T: Look, Helen and Mike are very happy on New Year’s Day. What happened?

 Let’s dub for the story.

T: Who can be Uncle John/Mike/Helen?

【Tips: 小组合作,分角色为故事配音。】

T: Good job! This is for you.

4. T: Mike and Helen have got some presents from Uncle John. What do they get? What is for Mike/Helen/Tim?

Please discuss in groups. 【Tips: 小组讨论,他们分别得到了什么礼物?每人说一句。】

T: Which group can try?(上台操作)

T: Good job! This is for you!

Step 3  Fun time

5.T: They have the presents. Look! So many presents! Do you know what they are?

Watch carefully! Try to guess what’s in the box. If you are right, you can get a present. Are you ready?

T: What’s this?

S: It’s a …

T: Now, look! It’s a … Who is right? It’s for you.

T: Who can come and play?

S1 2 3: What’s this?(学生操作)

Ss: It’s a …

S1 2 3: Look! It’s a … Who is right? It’s for you.

The third one is a toy car.

Teach: toy.

T: Do you any other toys?

S:…

6. S4: What’s this?

Answer: It’s a CD.

T: Look, it’s not a CD. It’s a VCD. We can listen to music from CD. We can watch cartoons from VCD.

Step 4  Cartoon time

7. T: There’s a cartoon in the VCD. Let’s watch it! Ok?

     After watching it, think about a title for it.

Teach: birthday, ir, bir, th, day,

T: Is it funny? What’s your title for it?

8. T: Yes. It’s Bobby’s birthday. What can we say to Bobby? What can you say when you want to give the presents? What can you say when someone gets a present? Watch again. And think about these questions.

9. Discuss in group. Feedback in groups.

It’s Bobby’s birthday.  Let’s say “Happy birthday” to Bobby!

S: Happy birthday, Bobby!

Bobby: Thank you.

10. T: Is Booby happy or scared? Let’s read and think about the question.

【Tips: 用你喜欢的方式。可以两人读,也可以三人读或者自己读。】

11. T: Is Booby happy?   S:…

T: Watch the last part!

Bobby is scared. Because he gets a big surprise!. But he is still happy.

Now, who can act better?

12. T: Now, let’s read the whole story.

Open your books at page 53. Follow the tape, try to imitate.

Tips: 1. 尽量模仿语音语调哦。2。比一比,谁模仿的更好!

13. T: Good reading. Now, let’s act the story. Act in groups.

Ask one or two groups to act.

14. T: Good job! When we have a birthday, we often sing a song: Happy birthday to you. And here’s a song:  “Happy birthday to me”

Let’s enjoy the song “Happy birthday”! Then sing with me!

Step 5 Consolidation

15. T: Oh, you all did a good job! On Bobby’s birthday, Sam gives Bobby a big surprise. Look, it’s Sam’s birthday. What will Bobby give Sam? What happened in the birthday party? Act in groups.

Step 6  Homework

1. 和爸爸妈妈玩玩课堂上的游戏。

2. 听、指读Cartoon time并熟练的表演。

3. 和同学谈谈今天学到的节日祝福语。
